The Bug Ft Dis Fig: You – “Something uniquely fragile”

Kevin Martin returns with his first music as The Bug since collaborating with Earth‘s Dylan Carlson for 2017’s Concrete Desert.

This time Martin teams up with Dis Fig ‒ the American-born, Berlin-based artist, Felicia Chen, for You, the first track from forthcoming album, In Blue, due out next month.

Described as “tunnel sound”, You carries the a similar aesthetic to last year’s stunning album in King Midas Sound‘s Solitude – Martin‘s beguiling project with dread poet, Roger Robinson, which continues to evolve with each new release.

Like rolling blankets of smoke, You unfurls with the shadowy dystopian drones that underpin the KMS remit. But with Dis Fig at the reins, her presence adds a new dimension to proceedings, resulting in something uniquely fragile.

You contains a glistening juxtaposition of beauty and uncertainty and is served as the first taste to an album that could be just as turbulent as the times we live in.
