Michigan doomgaze favourites, Greet Death, have announced details of their third LP and first in six years.
Following their two excellent long-players, the 2017 debut Dixieland and the 2019 follow-up New Hell, Die In Love, is set for release on June 27 via Deathwish Inc.
Earlier today, the band shared the video for new single, Country Girl, which you can watch / listen to below.
Per the press release notes, Harper Boyhtari explains that Country Girl is about, “…identity, alienation, and detachment. It’s like trying to solve a murder mystery and finding out you were the killer the whole time.”
Die In Love was recorded in Boyhtari’s parents’ basement in Davisburg, Michigan, the place where she and Greet Death co-founder, Logan Gaval, spent much of their preteen and adolescent years. “Pain and loss. Everyone feels it, it’s a very human thing,” adds Gaval, talking of the inspiration behind the album. “At the end of the day, we’re lucky to lose people we care about.”
