Teramo, Italy-based four-piece BAu first came to our attention earlier in the year with their EP, Indifferentemente.
The four-piece, consisting of Eugenio “Barabba” Barracchini (vocals), Danilo “Bau” di Francesco (guitar), Stefano Galassi (drums) and Gianluca “Mastino” Rosato and take the frayed ends of ’90s post-hardcore, presenting it with renewed vigor.
Think of the blues-y noise-rock of Helmet played in the kind of fleapits Part Chimp and End Now have inhabited over the years, and you won’t be far off the vibe BAu bring to the table.
Taken from Indifferentemente, today the band share the video for their track It’s Hunting, and exclusive to Sun 13, be the first to watch the video below.
Speaking of the video, the band comments:
“The song is about lying to oneself, the need to disguise one’s feelings, to stay afloat, to survive. Pretending that things are okay because otherwise we would be faced with a no-win reality. It can become an obsession that oppresses us, as if we were the prey of a hunt, and ourselves the hunters.
“The title was changed from ‘It’s Haunting’ to ‘It’s Hunting’ along the process. The reasoning is consequential.”
The video was created in partnership with Poiz, an Italian graphic artist located in Turin. He is currently working on something entitled Heterogenesis, which will most likely have the features of a fanzine.
Indifferentemente is out now via Aagoo Records. Purchase from Bandcamp.
