Rabbit Hash is the new collaboration featuring droneroom’s Blake Conley and Cincinnati experimental guitarist, Pete Fosco.
Both constants in the sphere of new music (Conley in particular is no stranger around these parts), the pair ready Rabbit Hash’s debut album, Don’t Mistake My Impatience for Enthusiasm, which is set for release on January 27 via the Austin-based Marginal Glitch Records – the label run by Ciyadh Wells.
Exclusive to Sun 13, you can watch/listen to the lead track, Natural Chrome, below.
Having known one another for six years after playing together in Fosco’s native Cincinnati, Rabbit Hash stemmed from there.
The making of Don’t Mistake My Impatience for Enthusiasm started with Fosco recording his parts in Cincinnati then sending them to Conley to add his finishing touches when he lived in Las Vegas (he has since re-located to Tennessee). The result is a series of atmospheric sketches which prove to be among either artist’s finest work yet.
A full review of Don’t Mistake My Impatience for Enthusiasm will follow next week.
