Australian experimental pioneer, Oren Ambarchi, is set to return with new music in April with another collaboration – this time teaming up with Swedish artists, Johan Berthling (bass), and Andreas Werliin (drums).
Ghosted is set for release on April 15 via Drag City, marking the second collaboration between Ambarchi and Berthling, with the pair releasing the 2015 LP, Tongue Tied.
You can watch the video for Ghosted’s lead track, II, below.
Preparations for Ghosted began in November 2018, with Ambarchi, Berthling and Werliin convening at Studio Rymden in Stockholm. From here, Ghosted was born, with the album being mixed and mastered by Joe Talia at Berlin’s Good Mixture.
Ambarchi and Berthling have met many times onstage and off since 2003, including various encounters in the group Fire! with Mats Gustafsson and Werliin.
At the back end of last year, Ambarchi released the excellent live recording of his 2016 LP, Hurbris, entitled Live Hubris.
