Paz Lenchantin announces new solo album

The former member of A Perfect Circle and Pixies announces her debut solo LP.

After almost three decades as bassist, vocalist, and co-writer for A Perfect Circle, Zwan, The Entrance Band and Pixies (2014–2024) and having also worked alongside Silver Jews and Papa M, Paz Lenchantin has announced details of what has been billed as her debut* solo album, Triste.

Set for release on October 17 via her own label, Hideous Human Records, earlier today, Lenchantin shared the album’s lead track, Hang Tough, which you can watch / listen to below.

The 12-tracks see Lenchantin perform all of the instruments before enlisting Los Angeles-based musicians, reuniting her with former A Perfect Circle bandmates Josh Freese (drums), Troy Van Leeuwen (guitar), and also long time friend Jeffertiti on Hang Tough.

Mixed by Chris Coady (Beach House), commenting on Triste, Lenchantin says, “I had to make this record on my own—not to prove anything, but just to have faith that music can nurture me back. And it did.”
